About this page
These clubs take part in rated chess, mostly through the team championship of Sevilla, whose standings list teams from Tussam, Los Carteros, the Círculo Mercantil, Tenis Betis, Torre de los Guzmanes, San José and Veteranos de Utrera. Brenes and the peña of Pilas field teams in the league as well.
Some clubs also put on rated events of their own. The Peña Cultural Bética Vicente Montiel hosts the open of Pilas in its own rooms, Club Ajedrez Los Palacios runs the town open at the Pabellón Jesús Navas, and Abgena Gines runs a summer night tournament with the town hall. The monthly Supercopa of the Peña Ajedrecística Oromana in Alcalá de Guadaíra has counted for regional rating in some editions, and Torre de los Guzmanes has organised opens in a bar café.
