Rapid games around Seville 22

Rapid is the format of most one-day events around Seville. The towns keep their own opens: the summer international in Brenes, whose entry includes the municipal pool, the open of Pilas played at the Peña Cultural Bética Vicente Montiel, the Villa de Gines team tournament at the Casa del Mayor and the Open de Camas in memory of Antonio Matito. In the Aljarafe the Circuito Metropolitano adds Saturday rapids in bars of Mairena, Gines and Gelves.

School and student chess is mostly rapid too: the Olimpiada Interescolar at FIBES, the inter-school tournament of Utrera and the university championship of SADUS. El Trebejo Solidario, played in the Parque del Alamillo, gives its entry fees to chess material for children in hospital. Clubs whose own events are rapid, such as Alekhine Tomares, Abgena Gines and the peña of Villanueva del Ariscal, are listed alongside.
