About this page
Many Seville clubs are known first through the team championship, where they field teams in its divisions, and through the tournaments they organise. In the city there are Los Carteros at the civic centre of Pino Montano, Tussam on the Avenida de Andalucía, Torre de los Guzmanes in El Juncal and the Casa del Ajedrez de Sevilla in the Polideportivo San Pablo. In two societies chess sits inside the club: the Círculo Mercantil on Calle Sierpes, which holds an international open each October, and the Real Club de Tenis Betis, whose memorial is by invitation.
The towns have their own: the Peña Ajedrecística Oromana in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Abgena Gines, Alekhine in Tomares, the club of San José de La Rinconada, the clubs of Brenes and Los Palacios, and two peñas béticas, in Pilas and in Villanueva del Ariscal, that host chess. Veteranos de Utrera is known only from the league standings.
